Welcome to the official website of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Carthage, Tn.Thanks for taking the time to “check us out.” As you browse the site, we hope all of your questions will be answered, but feel free to contact us if you’d like.We consider all of our ministries to be ministries of the local church, as we work together as a family in order to accomplish more for the glory of God. As God has opened doors to the regions beyond, we have also launched “Sowing the Seed Ministries” which involves various radio and internet programs, tract distribution, jail and prison ministries, and other means of “sowing the seed” wherever God allows. “HOLD ON TO THAT THOUGHT”!

Last year, we introduced a “theme” of sorts, suggesting that we attend every service with the mindset of “Expressing Gratitude and Expecting God”! I’ve decided that approach needs to be the theme of our lives! In an unthankful society, a society of excessive complaining and murmuring, may we be PECULIAR in that we have an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE as we look to God, expecting Him to work in our midst! Such a mindset or attitude can’t be feigned or forced. We need only consider the grace of God and say with Ruth, “Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?”

Yes, I have it better than I deserve, the Lord Jesus Christ has been good to me!
